Identity & Access

When you create an account on Fair Remote, we ask for identifying information such as your name, email address, company name, and company website. That’s just so you can personalize your new account, send you invoices, updates or other essential information. We also give you the option to add a company logo that displays in our Service. We'll never sell your personal info to third parties, and we won't use your company in marketing statements without your permission, either.

When you subscribe to our weekly digest, we ask for your email address in order to send you an email on a weekly cadence with new companies and openings that were created in the past 7 days, if there were any. We might use these emails for occasional surveys related to Fair Remote and the service it provides. We promise to keep these surveys at a maximum of 3 per year.

Billing information

When you choose to pay for the Fair Remote service, we ask for your credit/debit card details. That's so we can charge you for the Service and send you an invoice. Your card is passed directly to our payment processor and doesn't ever go through our servers. We store your billing address to calculate any VAT in the EU, to detect fraudulent credit card transactions, and to print on your invoices.

Geolocation data

We log all access to all accounts by full IP address so that we can always verify no unauthorized access has happened. We keep this login data for as long as your account is active.

We also log full IP addresses used to sign up a account. We keep this record forever because they are used to mitigate spammy signups.

Voluntary correspondence

When you write to Fair Remote with a question, to ask for help, or just to say hi, we'll keep that correspondence, and the email address, so that we have a history of past correspondences to reference if you reach out in the future.

Information we share data with

The only third party processors that we share data with are secure and we only share what's required:

Information we do not collect

We don’t collect any characteristics of protected classifications including age, race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or physical and mental abilities or disabilities. You may provide these data voluntarily, such as if you include a pronoun preference in your email signature when writing into our Support team.

We also do not collect any biometric data.

Fair Remote uses "cookies" to store session information, and thus will set and access cookies within your browser.

Security & Encryption

All data is encrypted via SSL/TLS when transmitted from our servers to your browser. Data isn't encrypted while it's live in our database (since it needs to be ready to send to you when you need it).
